Great commentary! There’s a lot more to it than simply putting a blog together. Frequency is one point I would query though – there’s no point being frequent if you are in a niche area. The value of what you are saying will largely determine the frequency.

I have definitely started using facebook more frequently when I feel my post has much to offer others. I find I get a decent amount of instant traffic when I post a link on my facebook. i have tried facebook as a medium for my online store (selling used items). it needs time, effort and a lot of good pictures…. i stopped for the moment since i cannot catch up and focused on my writing.. i saw that i was better at it than selling goods

Keeping the content up-to date and interesting all the time can be a little difficult, but needs to be done. Facebook “likes” and Google Plus needs to be in every blog post at a bare minimum. I have noticed an increase in traffic with more Google +’s. I have only recently started taking connecting in other blogs.
