- Visit Gravatar.com to upload an image of yourself. Having an image in your profile is a must for us to publish your article.
- Write your post, save it and it will be reviewed and published asap if we feel the content would be valuable to our audience!!

Some simple Requirements

Fantastic blog! Do you have any helpful hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed .. Any recommendations? Thanks a lot!

Having used other platforms, nothing compares with the power and usefulness of Wordpress. I would recommend starting there and as you develop then you can invest money in tools that will help bring your blog to the next level. Things that I invest in for this site are: the Thesis theme, ninja affiliate, and Hostgator hosting to name a few. But, the beauty of Wordpress is all of the free plugins that allow you to make your blog standout.
I’m more partial to Joomla, myself. I don’t view WP as being that flexible (at least not nearly as much as the big J). Though it also highly depends on how much flexibility you need — for a blog or something like that, WP is fine. For things that require more customization such as on a page-by-page basis, can’t beat Joomla,

Hi Anne, that is not necessary. Simply register a user name, request to be upgraded to ‘contributor’ status, and then submit an original article through WordPress for review.
