A constant question I hear from bloggers is “Why am I not making money online?” I simply reply with… “Well, what are you doing to try to make money online?” Following my question I receive something that sounds like… “Well, I have some great ideas to make money… I just haven’t started them yet. I’ll get working on them soon.”
Looking at these 3 lines of conversation, tell me where you see the problem. I’ll just save you the time, they are not taking action. If you’re a struggling blogger or someone who has had the question on “Why am I not making money online” I highly recommend you continue reading this article. It’s time to shed the light on this pondering questions for many bloggers.
Blog posts do not make you a full-time living online
Let me just get this out the way right now. Unless you run a product review blog, writing articles aren’t going to make you money. Sure, you can write an affiliate post time to time and make a couple thousand dollars if you’re lucky. However, blog posts aren’t your fuel source for income.
To be short, simple and to the point… blog posts are here to build your reputation and credibility as a blogger. You are gaining trust and proving to your audience you are an authority of your niche. This way, when you have something to sell to them, they will buy it.
Stop talking about it and just do it
Constantly… and I mean constantly I hear people telling me what “big” plans they have in store and what a success they will be. 5 weeks down the line… they are still talking about it and not doing anything. The second you have an idea, instantly take action. If you want to start writing a eBook, the second you find out what you’re going to write about… open up your typing program and start writing.
Remember this:
The first step to seeing results is taking action
Now let me translate this for you…
The sooner you take action, the closer you will be making money online
Why you need to start taking action now
The second you get an idea, you need to get on it right away. Wake up and realize, we are online, business never sleeps. When you’re asleep, your blog is still running and your competition is still lurking the web. Each day there are over 200,000 blogs created. So each second we wait, there are 2 more blogs being created. If you don’t want to seize an idea while you have it, someone else will.
Look at Evan Williams the CEO of Twitter. Do you think if he said “Ahh… I’ll start this project 4 months later, it’s no big deal.” he would run one of the world’s largest social networking sites?
Keep that in mind…
Stop making excuses not to take action and just do it. Don’t be afraid to fail either… your only failing by not trying.

Bravo… You are right my friend. Our blog is just a medium to build our authority or credibility for our online business.
There were many methods to make money online and what most bloggers do are just let them passed their way and do nothing.
I also did some online business which are not related to blogging or writing and this method really works for me and I think for everybody as well especially for beginners.
What I did was I build a paid to click online business.
Many have said that paid to click business is just a waste of time and ptc sites are just scams. But to tell you the truth, not all of them.
It is true that you only earn $0.01 per click but it’s worth than nothing to earn money online.
Maybe most bloggers monetized their blog through adsense but as they checked their adsense account, sometimes they don’t even earn a single penny.

To be quite honest with you, I started a PTC business awhile back. It failed horribly on my end, but I still tried it out. I know some of the PTC sites can really do good and make a lot of money especially with people paying for advertising.

Couldn’t have said it better. You can spend hours upon hours researching and learning about making money online but if you don’t actually take action and apply your knowledge, you’re never going to do it.
Instead of spending all of your time learning, take a great blog posts that’s full of information and implement it. It’s really easy to just keep reading and bookmarking but you really need to run with one idea at a time. Push it as hard as you can.
Just test things, you’ll learn so much by throwing up a banner, writing about a new topic, talking with other bloggers and building a joint venture.

Talk truly is cheap. You don’t get result by just reading and making research on how to be successful, it is better to step out and start something. Even if you end up making mistake, at least you would have learned how NOT to DO IT! That is far better than procrastinating due to fear of failure.

Simple and straight to the point. No one will ever achieve anything if you do not “take action”. What is the point of having knowledge, which is power, if you do not do it. It will stay there and procrastinate and as you said someone else will beat you to it. The single most important advice I always give, take action, take action, and then take more action. Kudos

Yah I totally agree. If you want to be where you desire you need to take action. This applies to life also.
You say that each day there are over 200,000 blogs created. I have read that on other sources too. I just cannot accept that. 50 000 is still realistic but 200000 ??
Yeah I know there are autoblog and software which creates blogs and then there are services like Blogger where you can set up a blog in a matter of seconds.. but still…
