The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is where thousands of products are displayed for you to see what might be the next big thing with tech consumers. Held in Las Vegas in January 2013, hundreds of people will flood the show rooms trying to get first looks at some of the most technologically advanced machines that man has to offer.

If the 2013 is anything like the 2012 CES,  you can expect the hottest and the latest technology available. Amongst the array of high technology, programs like network management software is also being showcased.

Here are a few things to keep an eye out for:

Wi-Fi ready televisions – Internet connected televisions are expected to make a nice debut at the convention.  More televisions will have built in Wi-Fi connection to the home or office wireless internet service.  This means that you will be able to check your email and even search for things on a web browser directly from your television.  You will more than likely have better remote controls in the next few years which will make searching on the internet connected televisions a lot easier.

Tablets – Apple iPads really are the alpha and omega of tablets. However, Amazon recently introduced the Kindle Fire with a lower price, good functionality and hardware, means that other manufacturers can start getting into the tablet market, so many of those will be on display.

Ultrabook Computers – Ultrabook Computers are the smallest most powerful notebooks that have ever been made.  The newer ultrabooks will have hands down the best and fastest processor speeds and absolutely state of the art designs which will make them not only faster and stronger but they will cost less which will make consumers very happy.  Once someone has used an Ultrabook they see exactly how bulky the traditional laptop computers have actually become.

Software companies are offering new applications that will allow an iPads full access to the traditional desktop applications.  Stuff like Microsoft Word, or Microsoft Works will use a high speed streaming ability. Remote desktop software has come a very long way over the last few years. This type of software with its uses on things like Ultrabooks and iPads will really make life a lot simpler for a good deal of people.

So the CES will bring some of the most exciting and interesting products to light and in the future we will see many faster and smaller, lighter and more compact machines doing the work of old bulky machines.  It’s a tech fan’s dream!

My uncle loves electronics, especially the latest TVs, tablets, and laptops. I’m not sure if he knows about the CES in Las Vegas this coming 2013, but I’ll definitely tell him about it. Thanks for sharing!

I really wish I could go to a technology show like this!

I’m really looking forward to Wi-Fi ready televisions. This could change the industry forever. There’s rumors that Apple are also working on their own TV so I guess we’ll have to see what the future has in store.
