Become a Pro: Top 4 Website Design and Creation Software

You want to design a website but you don’t have any knowledge of web development languages like JavaScript or PHP. That is a problem, don’t you think? Well thanks to the advancement in web creation software programs it is not a problem anymore! Website design has now become easy. People with virtually no background knowledge are making websites like pros.

You just need to select good website development software or in the technical language called “WYSIWYG” – what you see is what you get. These software are called WYSIWYG because they provide user with an interface that looks exactly like how the web page is going to be. The coding is done at the backend whereas the designer can see, edit and customize the outlook.

Little knowledge of HTML is handy

Before we go on to discuss useful website development software, I would like to share something I have learned in my professional experience. You should always try to learn HTML basics. It is the easiest language in the world, you can design your web page without any software in a day in HTML. It is not fancy of course, that’s why we need to mix it with these software programs so the web page looks good.

You can learn HTML online. There are many websites which contains tutorials. It is simple, easy and plain. It should take you two to three days to learn HTML. It is not a compulsion but it is always handy. And remember, you don’t need to learn HTML in depth, just some basic knowledge and main tags would do.

Top Website Design and Creation Software

Adobe Dreamweaver CS 5.5

Dreamweaver is arguably the most popular website creation software in the world. Dreamweaver is the product of the infamous Adobe. I would recommend Dreamweaver to absolute beginners. Dreamweaver is user friendly. Customizing a temple is very easy in Dreamweaver. It shows you the front end design and as well as the coding.

Using advanced CSS settings in Dreamweaver is also relatively easy than other programs. It supports all the web languages.

Web Easy Professional 8

The name of this software is as apt as it can be. It is one of the easiest website making tool I have seen. What I like about Web Easy is its totality. It features a complete set of audio, video, graphics, imaging and support tools.
With such advanced customizable features, the application is very likely to please beginners as well as intermediate website developers.

CoffeCup Visual Site Designer 7.0

CoffeCup Visual Site Designer is fantastic WYSIWYG software. The latest version allows users with little or no HTML knowledge to make websites. CoffeCup has advanced features which allow the designers to make, create or customize a unique website.

Visual Site Designer 7.0 comes with 10 beautifully designed business website templates. I have found these templates to be better than any other default templates. I don’t think I need to mention that they are easily customizable.

Intuit Website Creator 2010

The templates and images are the best feature I found in Intuit Website Creator 2010. There are more templates available than any other website creation software counting up to more than 2,000. Also, there are over 250,000 built in stock photos – and all this is a lot of templates and photos!

The designing itself is easy, there are multimedia tools and step by step instructions which make website making fun and an easy task.

Hello guys,

I would actually like to add that I have found dreamweaver “not so special”. For some it works, like you guys but I cannot properly apply CSS in Dreamweaver, maybe it is just me. When designing in DW, I apply CSS manually, that is why I use Web Easy Professional 8.

Having said that, all these software programs are great. You should check all of them out. They are designed and made for everyone (from beginners to pro).

For me open source content management platforms like wordpress, joomla and drupal are have all the features needed to built a website so it is not so important to use a software to create a website and even if you want a site look more professional you can use a premium theme…

Hi Nuur,
Many people do not have much knowhow about html, but thanks to blogging platforms like WordPress, they have made it easier for such people to enjoy creating their websites without the use of a website design creation software such as Dreamweaver. However, I still believe that having a bit of knowledge regarding html can prove to be very handy.

I’m definitely for Dreamweaver. No matter who you talk to in website design, everyone has heard of Dreamweaver. It’s good for beginners all the way to professionals, and you can find plenty of help online and in forums. Intuit’s software sounds promising, especially with all the stock photos that come with it. Plus it comes from a well established company like Adobe.
