This is really great Dev,

Technshare is really improving and that is really great.

You still need to build some backlinks and the traffic from Google will increase.

Peep on rocking dude!

Hey Dev – Stats are looking great! Such a low bounce rate! That’s great. I think I need to improve other sources of traffic for me so that the StumbleUpon traffic doesn’t make my bounce rate so high. It’s still above 50% and I think that’s because it sends a large portion of my traffic. I hate it. I’ve been thinking about taking down the badge and also using an .htaccess redirect to prevent StumbleUpon visits. I don’t think they add anything at all in terms of quality. What do you think?

Hey Tia,

You can read this Post http://www.technshare.com/reduce-bounce-rate/ to reduce the bounce rate.

To be honest, stumbleupon traffic is useless. The traffic from SU is one time traffic. So, i really don’t care about SU.

Thanks for the nice comment.

You’re welcome. What’s interesting is that the avg. time on site is really good, at above 3 minutes (my posts are long; you know that). One negative thing about bounce rate is that it doesn’t differentiate between exiting via a click on an external link and exiting the site altogether.

I think it will reduce again now that I’ve brought back related posts (it was gone for almost 3 months). I’ll monitor it as a result of that change and see what happens!

I definitely feel you on the StumbleUpon thing which is what I mentioned in my post the other day. So useless. Big numbers, little value. I’ll pass!

Great work Devesh. Your web design has played a great role in keeping the bounce rate really low. I personally like the whole color scheme and design and on top of that the content is good too. I would suggest you invest more in link building and content generation.
