As we all know Search Engine Optimization is a long term process, that needs to be attended intuitively. Almost every blogger try to reach the highest possible SERP (Search Engine Results Page) for their selected list of keywords. This is natural, simply because traffic gained from Search Engine Results are extremely targeted.
#1. Avoid Keyword Stuffing. Don’t stuff your articles with a lot of keywords, balance your content with your keyword usage. It’s okay to use your keywords once or twice on each of your paragraphs as long as they sound natural on your content. If you want best results than place your keywords on the first and last sentences of your paragraphs so search spiders can easily find them.
#2. Targeting your Keywords. Keywords are important in all the text of your site, hands-down. You do not need to put a lot of keywords in your page content. You can use seokeywordanalysis.com or wordtracker.com to figure out the best keywords in your niche. Once you’ve got good keywords, use them carefully in the text of your site. keywords can also be put in the form of tag.
#3. Focus on Key-Phrases, not single keywords, and put your location in your text (“Adsense” not “earn money from adsense”) to help you get found in local searches. After you choose your home page keyword phrase, choose your site categories. What categories represent your business?
#4. Image Alt and Description. Be sure to utilize keywords effectively in the image alt or description tags. Your content management system should allow for this.
#5. Use No-follow tags where appropriate. ‘No Follow’ tags enable you to tell search engines ‘Don’t rank this page’ or ‘Don’t rank these pages’ because they are not important. Pages that you do not want to be ranked in search engines should make use of the ‘No Follow’ tag, for example the ‘about us’, ‘disclaimer’ or ‘terms & conditions’ pages within your website.
Getting more Incoming links
To achieve good, consistent search engine rankings, it is important to get quality links from relevant sites to your website. However, large numbers of non-relevant links pointing to your site can have a negative effect on your search engine rankings. Try to find bloggers that have some relation to yours and ask them to link to your website. Most people are happy to exchange links because it helps their websites, too. The recently published post here at Technshare dot com, 20 ways to build backlinks has some great ways in which you can get a lot more incoming links to your blog, you should check it out if you still haven’t.
