Overcoming The Make Money Blogging Cycle - Why You Are Not Making Money Blogging

This will be the least topic I will want to write about but I have no choice than to share it with the beautiful community here (keep up the good work Dev!).

There has been a major misconception in the blogging community recently and this misconception is that you can’t make money blogging except you go into the blogging and make money online niche – this is so wrong!

It is nowadays that you will see nurses and doctors blogging about how to make money online ;)

You don’t need to be in the MMO niche before you succeed, you can succeed without knowing anything about these niches.

A lot has been said about being a successful blogger and the same applies to any niche there is or there is to be.

While a few have started blogging in these niches with success it does not mean you will experience the same, we talk about some major keys to blogging success but I make bold to tell you that you will never succeed if you don’t locate yourself.

I wrote a post recently about analyzing your blogging strategy (I will advice you to read it).

Many people start in the MMO niche only to get disappointed when they get no results, you don’t need to be in the mmo niche before you make it online.

The sad truth you will not want to hear is that other niches bring results faster and better than the MMO niche.

There is far too much gurus and competition in the mmo niche that it becomes difficult for new bloggers to make it.

If you choose the right niche for yourself then you don’t need to bother about getting traffic, building a community, getting subscribers and even making money.

Once you have made up your mind and you now know the niche you want to blong in you can make effective use of the following tips to succeed in your niche.

1. Be Passionate

I have a saying and the saying is that passionate people are not normal. It sometimes take someone not being normal to make it and passion makes you overnormal (pardon me if its not in the dictionary) because you will go the extra mile, you will do the extra-ordinary just to make sure you get results.

2. Be Patient

Results don’t come overnight and whether you believe it or not you have to work hard to get results.

Wait patiently and your results will come in due time.

3. Be Unique

Adding your own spin of uniqueness to the game makes it a new game entirely and within a short period of time you will have created your own fan base who will eventually keep on promoting you when you aren’t there.

Being unique also helps you have your own voice which is very important when trying to succeed.

4. Be Consistent

Being consistent is really important because making money online is not a set and forget game, you have to make sure everything is in good order and you also have to keep working hard in order to get the right results.

Over To You!

What do you think? Should people still remain in the MMO and blogging niche or they should go into other niches and fastforward their success?

Hi Onibalusi,

I completely agree with you.

There are many niches to enter into. One should select the one which he/she is passionate about. It should resonate with you. You will have higher success.

Kindest,
Nabeel

Exactly Nabeel,

Many people think the only way to make money online is by going into the MMO niche, this might work on some but won’t work for all.

There are so many niche people can go for except going for MMO niche. I also recommend people not only build blog on MMO niche, rather build blog on different niche.

Hi Oni
What a great thing you shared here.Actually what is happening now new blogger sees that MMO Blogger are making big money online why can’t we copy them. There main aim is to make money not to provide values to their readers ultimately fails.

People should switch to niche on which they can help, motivate.Like doctors should blog about medicine(anything related).

Thanks Oni for sharing(Must Follow Tips)

Yeah, you are absolutely right!

Many new blogger have that impression but it is easier to make it in other niches than the MMO niche, it depends on your passion.

BTW: Thanks so much for your guest post on youngprepro, I really appreciate it,

I see no reason why a noob that dosen’t knw anything about blogging, should fall into the MMO niche! Other niches are there for a newbie to show his/her talent! Believe me its easy to earn from other niches, a newbie should wise up and be passionate in d niche he or she wants to blog about. Nice post Oni! *off topic* i hope ur getting ok by now? Be strong man! Take care.

This also surprises me, there is money where your passion lies so follow it to the call.

#1 is one of the biggest things you need to do well in my opinion. Passion will lead you through the tough times and always give you something to talk about.

If you are just trying to make a buck it is unlikely to be able to last.

If you do something you are passionate about, eventually eveything else will come.

Hey Oni,

You are so right! The MMO niche is the most crowded niche.

I just feel you should do whatever you want, just never give up. If you feel like you can have success from a MMO blog then go at it. If you fail get back up and learn from your mistakes.

Today i heard a great saying form a wize person; hustle- “making strenuous efforts to obtain money, business, and respect” which makes perfect sense to me.

Thanks for the awesome article!

God bless,
William Veasley

Exactly William,

That niche is too crowded and there are a lot of gurus to listen to, establishing yourself in another niche might be whqat it takes.

Hey Oni..

#3 is a BIG one.. I see a lot of people doing the same exact thing as everyone else, and that’s not effective business building..

When you blend in too much – it’s time to look at what you’re doing and walk the other way..

This is a great post – thanks for sharing..

That’s so crazy. If everyone blogged about how to blog, that would be the most boring blogosphere ever. Granted, most MMO bloggers have multiple blogs. One or two on a subject, then a MMO blog to show how they’re using different techniques to make money from those blogs. But still, I’ve read so many MMO posts ten or more times from different authors, because they just tell you the same old crap over and over. CREATE NEW CONTENT PEOPLE!!! Like you said, be unique.

The MMO niche is the most profitable so I understand why a person would want to be involved. I guess it is almost like the gold rush, you would naturally go where you can find the most gold.

I created my blog focused on the blogging and make money online niche but as time went by I realized that I couldn’t sustain it and I broadened it to include Wordpress tips and the boost in traffic has been quite amazing ;-) . As long as it’s possible, it pays to broaden a niche when you start running out of ideas. Just make sure all your themes are related to that niche like Blogging, Wordpress and Make Money Online Tips.

Well, I would go with the famous saying – “Rome was not built in a Day”. Every Online Business needs time and continued effort and passion to endure through the hardships of the online venture. Although it is said that Money is everywhere when its online, but in order to get there, its tough and it takes time!

Over to you experts! :)
