Creating a Google+ Brand page for your website

Yesterday, Google+ launched the Brand pages. I’ve just created an new brand page for WP Kube on Google+ and thought to share the process with you. The page works very similar to Google+ Profile. You can add videos/images or update status.

Google+ is great feature and much better than Facebook pages. Google+ brand pages are clutter free and organized. Here’s a short tutorial on how to create a Google+ Brand page:

1. Create a Brand page

The very first thing you need to do is to visit the Google+ Pages and choose a appropriate category.

Choose a appropriate category

Create a page & choose the appropriate category

 2. Fill all the Information

Give all your info – name of your page, website url, check Terms & conditions and click on create

Fill all the information about your Brand or Business

3. Upload the Image

Add the Tag line, upload image and hit the continue button.

Upload the image & hit continue button

4. Congratulations You’re Done

Congratulations – Your page has been created

Hi Dev,

Wonderful tutorial about the brand new Google pages!
No doubt that I prefer G+ instead of Facebook and now these pages are much easier.

I haven’t had yet time to make mine, but I’m going there, right now :)

Cheers,

I had been hearing that Google was going to be doing brand pages, but I had not realized that the party started implementing them. From this tutorial, it looks like it’s going to be fairly easy to do. This is definitely something I’m going to have to take a look at.

It was about time for Google+ to have this option, it should let people make brand pages from the beginning, anyway this is good news for all of us, I will certainly create a brand page as soon as poosible…

Thanks for the info, Dev!
The pages are certainly simple enough to set up, but I think the setup is not really what we should be focusing on, but the value of the social engagement metrics we will be able to use from having a Google+ page. That’s something I’m looking forward to getting my teeth into, and no doubt businesses will be just as eager to start segmenting their customers in this way.

I was happy to hear about the launching of Google+ Pages yesterday. Like you said, I like the cleaner appearance and more professional feel that it has. Thanks for the tutorial. Being used to FB for the longest time makes getting around Google+ still somewhat of an unfamiliar experience. Going to try and make some pages of my own now.

I experiences a few minor glitches when I tried to create our company page.

The opening times for a business function does not save for me.

Quite odd that Google has such flaws in their social platform.
