Do you believe in yourself ?

No, this post is not another post about content creation, promotion or networking. This post is about Self-belief. Do you believe in your self ? Do you have the confidence ?

Before we talk about confidence, let’s look at the various definitions of Confidence :-

1) assurance: freedom from doubt; belief in yourself and your abilities; “his assurance in his superiority did not make him popular”; “after that failure he lost his confidence”; “she spoke with authority”

2) a feeling of trust (in someone or something); “I have confidence in our team”; “confidence is always borrowed, never owned”

3) a state of confident hopefulness that events will be favorable; “public confidence in the economy”

These will be the three definitions we will be using to “define” what confidence is and how it impacts blogging. We can take out one thing from all of these definitions : Belief (or Hope). For blogging purposes, Confidence is the belief that you will succeed in what you are doing – blogging.

Confidence plays an important role in our lives. Even though hope can be considered as another name for confidence, confidence really provides us Hope. The belief keeps us from quitting the task. Let’s consider an example :-

Imagine that you are a high school student. Also Imagine that you are a very good student (doesn’t imply anything – I mean don’t take it personal). Imagine that you got a bad grade for a test, for example : Biology. Imagine that you were able to realize your mistakes. How would you feel ? There would be hope (You would have a feeling that you will succeed in the future). When we hear about our failures, we lose our hope. But many people (like Scientists) never gave up. They had confidence that they will succeed. They had the will to move on. They decided to keep trying. That is the primary reason why we are so advanced. Let’s get back to our example : So if you were in such a situation, you would feel confident, right ? (If you don’t, then there is something wrong with you).

As we can take from this quote, only people who has confidence are able achieve success.

This quote is absolutely right. Unless we discover ourselves – our talent, we are not going to achieve success.

Both of these quotes are related to Confidence. Confidence provides us with hope. Hope is the reason why we are doing all the things we are doing. There is hope inside us. But sometimes, we feel like we are losing hope. (Actually we never lose our hope, its just our feeling). When you are on such a situation, you should never give up. You should read or watch something that is motivational. Hope is everything. If you lose it, then it will lead to unwanted results. Hope to make money is the reason why many bloggers blog for money.

Believe in Yourself. Believe that you are a pro-blogger. Then you will be able to blog like a pro. You will be able to think of new ideas, write, promote and network like a professional blogger. Nowadays, the definition of a pro-blogger is different. Professional bloggers were bloggers who were involved in blogging full time (24/7). But now, Blogging is mainly about creating good content, building community and getting more traffic. Pro-bloggers are bloggers who are able to attract traffic with good content. These bloggers are pro-bloggers because they believe in themselves – They have confidence. Do you have confidence ?

Overconfidence

Another thing we have to take care of is “Overconfidence”.  Overconfidence is one of the most dangerous thing in blogging. We can take out many examples of overconfidence in today’s world :- Today, many people are overconfident. In my opinion, its better to have no confidence than over confidence.

If you are a blogger with overconfidence, then you will not be able to create fresh, new content. Sometimes, we get overconfident too. Recently, I was overconfident about one of my tests and guess what. It was one of my worst test. (Now, I realize my mistake – I spent most of my time on one problem).
