Last week Tia Petersen wrote a really good post here at TechnShare titled ‘8 Useful tips for putting your blog on auto-pilot’ and in it she talked briefly about social bookmarking. I read a lot about social bookmarking, hell I even write about it from time to time, but something that is nigh explained is the fundamentals of, well everything really – but more specific to this post, the fundamentals of Social Bookmarking.
I think understanding how something works is an integral cog in the wheels that drive you to success – and you cannot even think to have a modicum of it if you honestly don’t understand the processes behind whatever it is you are doing. So with this in mind, let’s look at Social Bookmarking from a bare knuckled, blogging point of view and discuss what it is exactly, and why it is that bloggers especially like talking about it so much.

Every webmaster has had a time where their traffic is so low, it causes hair to get ripped out of the top of their head. There are so many ways to increase your traffic, including blog commenting and social networking (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), as well as social bookmarking.
