A look at why understanding your keywords is a lot more important than understanding your customers. Yes they whinge and maybe even throw stones at you – but that’s just what customers do. Keywords don’t. Just saying, that is all. Keyword Research is an art form and not something that should be taken lightly if [...]
Google Analytics. It’s as foreign to most people as good coffee is to starbucks (yeah I went there) but I know why. The reason 95% of bloggers don’t understand it is because it seems too… big. I know you know what I’m talking about because for too long I ignored this side of blogging simply [...]
‘Write for the Search Engines or write for the people?’ Surely as a blogger this is not even a question anymore. The Search Engines love your blog just the way it is, and with the ability to change permalinks at will, this is now all about the people.
My wife recently went to the local supermarket to pickup some extra items that we were running low on, and she excitedly came back with all the ingredients required to make (what turned out to be) the most tasty Prawn, Avocado and Mango Salad. Social bookmarking sites account for over 75 million visitors each and every month, so getting a piece of that pie is fundamental to your blogging success. But what exactly IS social bookmarking? It’s actually a lot of things to a lot of people, but to a blogger…
It used to be called writers block, but I think that Blogger’s Cramp is slightly more fitting. Yes- it sounds like something you REALLY should see a doctor about as soon as possible, but it still conveys that horrible sinking feeling you get when you realise you have not had a unique blog thought for over 48 hours… and that’s a long time in blog speak!
