3 Solid Reasons Your Blog Is The Perfect Launch Pad For Your Business

To many of us, our blogs at some point serve as an income generator and in the long-term, for those who seriously stick to it, provides sustainable earnings that should make us feel proud. However, many still fail to realize that the awesome potential of blogging is far beyond google adsense earnings and a few affiliate sales here and there but can launch you and your brand to global success.

Blogging possesses the power to effectively connect with your readers on a level that an average banner ad cannot and presents us with the unique opportunity to get into the minds of prospects and truly discover what it is that they really desire from their online experience. These are the key starting points for any business to build products that sell.

Here are a few things to consider for your blog and possibly make some changes to take full advantage of business ideas you may have floating around in your mind.

Build Trust & Influence Through Your Blog

As you build upon relationships gained through blogging and associated activities such as commenting, tweeting, sharing and interacting, you are creating a profile and reputation in the minds of the persons you come across. Regardless of what you’ve been through before or how disappointed you may be in past experiences, learn from them and take the opportunity to present yourself, your blog and your business in the most positive light.

Each blog post that is written has the power to substantially grow your brand and authority within the minds of your readers. Gain the trust of your readers by consistently providing unique, useful and above average content and you will be in the perfect position to make some killer sales.

Use Your Blog To Launch Products & Services Cost-Effectively

Forget about multimillion dollar advertising campaigns, those types of strategies belong in the past. Your blog is a massive advertising platform by itself and enables you to quickly promote your ideas, products and services practically for free. Just think about launching a product that you sell for around $50. The cost of your yearly web hosting is about $90. In only a few sales you will break even and begin to experience leaps and bounds in profitability. Is there a company on the stock exchange that operates at such high profit margins? There is none!

Extraordinary earning potential exists within your blog, all you need to do is think and execute.

Easy International Reach & Popularity

The same day I launched my blog, I got visitors as far as from Australia, South Africa and quite a few other unsuspected locations. If I had a product from day 1 that was unique, never before seen and provided solutions for common needs then I would be enjoying a decent income from it by now. The entire world is your playground when you have a blog and, at your choosing, you can target specific territories and countries through the use of effective SEO techniques, blog commenting, interacting with prospects within the niche and even guest posting.

Do not limit yourself to your own town, country or continent but you should rather extend and expand and once you have a product or service that makes sense, make it available to the world at large through your blog.

Conclusion & Discussion

Are you experiencing any success through your blog in terms of sales of products and services? Where do you see your online business a year from now? Please share your ideas and experiences with us in the comments below, we would love to hear from you.

Interesting information you give there Robyn.

The web and blogging has really changed how we communicate. It has made opportunities for small entrepreneurs to compete with big companies. Sean Gallagher at entrepreneurs-journey gave this example:

“Some of the most successful entrepreneurs that I know that bring in $10 Million + (that I have interviewed on StartupFreedom.com) are very small companies. 1 or 2 people. Yet they are doing revenues of a large corporation!

“The entire world is your playground” This is really exciting. This fact still fascinates me. By starting online, the whole world is your market. Literally. You have the potential to market to the whole world!

Awesome example Nabeel,

It just shows that you don’t need a large organization of employees to make big bucks. All you need is the perfect products or services and the right niche to target, preferably a worldwide one. Blogging makes the task much easier.

Awesome points man!
I only started blogging right before the summer, and I feel like an idiot because of that. Like you said, by blogging, you create a reputation for yourself and start to build a popularity and because of that, you can advertise for free! I absolutely love blogging now! Haha

There’s no doubt about it a blog is an excellent base from which to launch a business endeavor. When you’ve got a great product to offer, it’s great to be able to reach a global market.

I love looking at my statistics map to see all the interesting and faraway places my readers hail from. It never ceases to amaze that people so far removed from me geographically can join me on my blog!

That’s right. Not just in blogging, but if we really know how to tap our target market, then we will get the results what we want. Our future is the result on what we are doing today. But having a blog can definitely add fire-power to it.

Well said Robyn,
I have just recently blogging not long ago and indeed I am starting to enjoy every bit of it.
I practically get to write anything i want that’s relativity appropriate with my niche and best of all, it pleases me to see that my effort is paying off as I check on my blog analytics stats day by day.
Indeed having a successful blog will subsequently provide you with a large platform to monetize and optimize with to make money online.
Anyhow, I believe one shouldn’t just dwell on starting a blog just because of how much they believe blogging will eventually make them lots of money online.
It will if there are substantial effort and time put into it.
No such thing as an overnight fortune. =)
No such thing as free money.

I am looking very much forward to seeing my blog turn successful someday. Hopefully at the quickest pace. =)

thanks for the post.
keep up the good work man.

You’ve made some great points. The most important one being that we should not solely set our minds on making money from our blog. Depending on the niche, that strict money making mindset can blind us in other areas key to our blogging success, especially for the new blogger who is yet to learn certain fundamentals.

Thanks for sharing.

I have to agree that blogging isn’t just for the pocket money that can be made out of it. If enough efforts are put, the possibilities blogging offers are close to endless. It is really the best way to establish your own brand and to build your reputation. You can’t expect achieving this overnight though.

Blogging definitely has a lot of capabilities for business that can make a huge impact on the way you do business and who you’re able to do business with and what you can sell.

Hell, the Internet alone does this for us but blogging is, on its own, crucial for success if you want to take things to extremes.

Nice post Robyn. Thanks for sharing this. Having a blog is really a powerful way to earn online. There are a lot of bloggers simply giving up because they just focus on earning from adsense, what they don’t know is there are other ways to earn from your blog.

Build a relationship to your audience and readers, provide them useful and helpful information. People loves informative posts. Once you’ve built trust with them, time to recommend something that can also be useful to them.

Regards,

Gary
